After several days of rumors, the famed luxurious brand have at last unveiled its new cellular device… The Dior phone.
A little bit more than half a century after having revolutionized the fashion industry with its "New-Look", the fashion monolith built by Christian Dior has faced a new challenge by revealing officially last Wednesday night, in their equally famed store located on avenue Montaigne in Paris, its brand new mobile phone: the Dior phone.
Designed by the teams normally dedicated to the brand "la femme Dior" (the woman Dior), in collaboration with teams from ModeLabs, this Dior phone positions itself (obviously) as a luxurious mobile phone, with the first model worth 3500€ ($5500). Though the first model has a cover made of Cristal Saphir, the second model is even more exclusive costing 18.800€ ($24500), of which phone cover and hinge are decorated with 640 diamonds weighing altogether 3,251 carats.
Taking up again the brand's codes and colors with the 5-branches star around the central button, the Dior phone is above all an esthetical success. On a technical plan, this upmarket product indeed misses out the "3G skill" and opts for a modest 2 megapixels camera.

Fortunately, the Dior phone catches up its weaknesses with the accessories it offers, such as un stereo helmet with remote control, a charger with an adapter working in five different countries, a black leather case and, most of all, the "My Dior" gadget which looks like a Bluetooth earflap with remote control that enables you to pick up your phone while having your phone on your bag… your Dior bag of course.
A pretty charming cell phone, manufactured in France in Sony's workshops, which should allow Dior to draw attention to itself in a segment so far dominated by Nokia, Docle&Gabana or again Armani.
The Dior phone and its accessories will be marketed by mid-June in Dior shops.
