On Saturday, October 11, 2008 San Diego’s most talked about downtown destination, The New Children’s Museum (NCM), will host Think, Play Create, The Gala. Proceeds from the event will support arts education programs for the community, and the launch of the Museum’s 2009 exhibition focused on the interaction between the human and animal worlds, allowing artists to explore this theme with engaging and participatory works of art designed to stimulate children and pique their passion for learning in a hands-on environment.
Your traditional rubber chicken dinner this is definitely not. Exploring the theme “think play create” the night extends an invitation for guests to let their inner child run free while experiencing the state of the art facility and enjoying an interactive cocktail hour, customized dining experiences complete with performance art, a rockin’ open- air concert by 80’s rock icon Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, and an after-hours lounge that sets the stage to show off some serious dance moves.
